Tuto: Hotmail sur son iPod Touch / iPhone

Qui n’a jamais rêver d’avoir ses mails sur son iPod Touch en ayant une boite Hotmail qui n’est pas compatible avec les protocoles utilisé à savoir POP et IMAP ? Et bien c’est désormais possible pour les iPod Touch jailbreaké équipé d’un fimware 2.0 ou plus récent.

Requis:

- Un iPod Touch jailbreaké équipé du firmware 2.0 ou supérieur
- L’application Cydia (cf. le tuto pour le jailbreak)
- L’application BossPrefs disponible dans Cydia
- L’application Freepops disponible dans Cydia
- Le plug-in Freepops BossPrefs Toggle disponible dans Cydia
- Un compte msn, hotmail (.com ou .fr) ou même live
- Un autre compte mail compatible POP et IMAP (cf. liste à la fin)

C’est parti !

1) Allez dans BossPrefs et vérifiez que Freepops est activé. Si ce n’est pas le cas, activez le, puis allez dans Power et appuyez sur Reboot; votre iPod va redémarrer

2) Allez dans Réglages > Mail, Contacts, Calendrier > Ajouter un compte, puis appuyez sur “Autre”

3) Rentrer les informations de votre compte Hotmail, adresse et mot de passe suffiront, et appuyez sur “Enregistrer”

4) Vous tombez sur cette page avec marquer IMAP et POP, allez dans POP

5) Dans Nom d’hôte, dans Serveur de réception, écrivez localhost. Puis remplissez les champs comme dans la capture d’écran. Même les champs facultatifs devront être remplis comme indiqué ! La liste des serveurs SMTP est plus bas.

6) Appuyez sur “Enregistrer” et appuyez sur “oui” en réponse à la boite de dialogue. Le compte va alors être vérifié et accepté.

Félicitations ! Vous pouvez maintenant relever et envoyer vos mails avec votre compte Hotmail directement de votre iPod Touch ou iPhone !

Si vous avez un problème, n’hésitez pas à aller sur notre forum

Inconvénients:

- Quand vous envoyez un mail, il s’envoie aussi sur votre boite Hotmail
- Si quelqu’un fait “répondre” à votre mail, il répond sur la 2ème adresse et pas sur celle Hotmail
- Si vous supprimez un mail de votre boite Hotmail, il revient au bout d’unn moment, c’est assez embêtant car, par exemple, perso j’ai une vingtaine de mails qui reviennent à chaque fois, c’est lourd !
